A widespread winter visitor in Indian subcontinent. Uncommon in kerala. Rusty coloured in fresh plumage, grey-brown when worn. Pronounced facial patterns short beak with straw-yellow lower mandible and dark tip, long supercilium with darker upper edge, differentiated from similar looking warblers by dark centered tertials with pale edges, rufous cast to the rump and pale legs. Habitat : Reed beds and paddyfields.
