A winter visitor in South East Asia and Sri-Lanka. rarely seen in kerala. A small skulky warbler. Redish brown upperparts, plain off white underparts, dark spotting on crown and back and prominent supercilium. Easily identified from other warblers by redish brown contrasting rump and uppertail coverts heavily marked brown body, dark tail with white tip. Juveniles have white spots on the tertials. Habitat : Reed beds, paddyfields, thick riverside vegetation.
